Safety at work and the prevention of accidents is of great importance to Corus.

As an incentive to promote safety, the Works Manager puts money in to a charitable fund for every accident free period and no time lost to production.

Each year the work force are invited to nominate local charities for a donation. NCI Worms Head was nominated by Mrs. Lesley Street, wife of one of our watch-keepers, Jeff Street and for the second time were NCI were invited to the presentation event.

The donation were presented to various local charities by Mr. Stuart Wilkie, Works Manager.

Audrey Frank our Deputy Station Manager received the sum of £400.

Along with Audrey were Jeff and Lesley Street and Robert Ephgrave (in photographer guise).

Everyone enjoyed the buffet lunch and the company of the other nominees.

Unfortunately David Evans, the NCI Worms Head press officer, missed an enjoyable couple of hours by suffering a car break down on his way to the event.
