The Right Worshipful The Lord Mayor of the City & County of Swansea, Councillor Ioan Richard and the Lady Mayoress visited our lookout on Tuesday, 6th September 2011. They learnt about our activities at the lookout from the duty watch keepers Jane Evans and Ted Richard and from the Station Manager, Geoff Leamon, Station PR officer, David Evans and the Chairman of our national charity, Alan Richards. The NCI volunteers were able to demonstrate to the Lord Mayor how they spot, plot and report all activities in the immediate area. They explained that Swansea Coastguard is informed if an incident occurs who then task the appropriate facility to deal with the incident. To date, 70 incidents have been dealt with since the station opened at Easter, 2007.
